Jane Hood, CFP®

For more than 30 years, Jane has been helping families and small business owners achieve financial security, assisting in every facet of their finances. Graduating from the University of Rochester in 1979, Jane started her career in the mutual fund industry in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1986, she was accepted into E. F. Hutton's brokerage training program. Recognizing the limitations to her clients at a large wirehouse, Jane became an independent financial consultant in 1990 with Advantage Capital Corporation. She gained extensive experience working with retirees, families planning for college, and small business owners. In 2000, Jane happily partnered with Commonwealth Financial Network®, a firm that enjoys a stellar reputation among financial professionals. Commonwealth members take great pride in the personal service they provide to all clients. With more than 30 years in the financial industry, Jane is a seasoned veteran who has seen great bull markets and terrifying bear markets. More importantly, Jane is a tried-and-true wealth consultant, and someone you can trust.

Jane is a longtime resident of Marblehead, Massachusetts, where she is an active member of the community. She enjoys sailing, tennis, and skiing with her partner, George. Her daughter, Hannah, is a 4th-grade special education teacher in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Jane is particularly proud of successfully fulfilling the rigorous requirements of the CFP® certification. The CFP® mark is recognized as the standard for excellence for financial planning, and holds its professionals to the highest standard of ethical conduct and client service. Jane holds her Series 7 and 63 FINRA securities registrations as well as state insurance licenses for life, accident, and health.
